LOCAL COURSE RULES

 

1.  Preferred lies (winter rules) shall be observed unless otherwise designated by the Club Professional..

 

 2. Hole #12 - right side of cart path is to be played as rough.

           

 3.  OUT OF BOUNDS – defined by white stakes.

 

 4.  HAZARDS

 

a.       LATERAL HAZARDS          

1.       #5 - ditch on left of Fairway

2.       #8 -  left side which is defined by red stakes

3.       #9 -  concrete ditch across Fairway in front of Green (ball touching any part of concrete is considered in hazard)

4.       #10 – concrete ditch and ditch behind Green (ball touching any part of concrete is considered in hazard)

5.       #13 – ditch on right

6.       #14 – left side which is defined by red stakes

  

                b.  WATER HAZARDS

1.       #7 -    ditch across Fairway

2.       #8 -    ditch across Fairway in front of Green

3.       #9 -    lake in  front of and to left of Green

4.       #10 -   pond on right of Green

5.       #11 -   ditch in front of Tees

6.       #16 -   ditch across Fairway

 

7.       Carry Over – Holes #7 & #8

                             If you hit two balls into the water hazard (yellow stakes)  either on #7 or #8, if you choose, you may take it across

                             and play it from there.  Score would be one in, two out, three in, four out, 5 to take it across, hitting 6 from where

                             the ball is dropped.  This is in addition to any strokes you accumulated before going into the hazard.

 

                    8.    CART PATHS are immovable obstructions. Ball may be lifted and taken to the nearest point of relief and dropped

       within one  club length but no closer to the hole. (No penalty)                             

 

 9.  PLEASE OBSERVE  the 90-degree rule. Keep carts on cart path around Tees and Greens.  Repair all ball marks.

 

10.  WINTER RULES – ball may be moved one club length (no nearer the hole) in your own  fairway.  If unable

                              to determine between fairway and rough, the ball shall be played as rough.

                                   

                    11. EMBEDDED BALL rule in effect. A ball embedded in its own pitch mark in any closely mown area through

                            the green may be lifted, cleaned and dropped, without penalty, as near as possible to the spot where it lay 

                            but not nearer the hole.  “Closely mown area” means any area of the course, including paths through the rough,

                            cut to fairway height or less.

 

 

              

COURTESY ON THE COURSE

 

 

1.       Players searching for a ball should signal the players behind  them to pass as soon as it becomes apparent that the ball will not be easily found.  They should not search for more than five minutes. 

 

2.       No one should move, talk or stand close to or directly behind the ball or  the hole when a player is addressing the ball or making a
